Western Sydney Performing Arts Centre

  • Client: Hansen Yuncken

    Project Value: $2m

    Project Status: Current

Acknowledged as a future cultural icon for Sydney’s west, the Western Sydney Performing Arts Centre is a huge creative boost for western Sydney.  The venue will have a 2000-seat theatre, and is being billed by Rooty Hill RSL club as the west’s answer to the Opera House.

Designed by Cox Architecture and constructed by Hansen Yuncken, the building has been created with a flowing, curved façade and with grand, light-filled interior foyers finished in elegant natural finishes. According to the architect, the main theatre auditorium is equally unique in both its fit-out and functionality, with a warm and inviting interior with variable capacity modes ranging from 900 to 2,000 when seated, increasing to 2,300 capacity in concert mode.

This stunning new theatre will offer an exciting new option for producers and promoters, and also offer Australia’s leading arts and production companies an amazing venue for Western Sydney’s rapidly expanding population that has been long overdue.

In another successful partnership with Hansen Yuncken, John R Keith group installed Hydraulic services for this exciting project.
